Brandon only had Grant 5 years but those years were so rich and full. Grant flew on a plane, cruised the Bahamas,
went on rides at Disney World, went to school with Brandon, and was 'April' on the Make-a-Wish calendar. Most of all
he was a loyal, loving, devoted friend to Brandon that made him many friends. He loved to be goofey and do silly
things but he also loved to work for Brandon. His tail would wag at the chance to pick something up for Brandon. He
opened and closed the door for Brandon daily and our cat even had Grant trained to open the door for him to go
out...and of course close it after. The most precious thing Grant did was open gifts for Brandon at Christmas and
birthdays. I don't think he was trained to do this, but if someone put a gift on Brandon's lap, Grant would jump up,
grab the bag, empty the tissue paper, pull out the gift and place it in Brandon's hands...with his tail doing circles at
the same time.
Amazing animal doesn't even begin to describe him. We are ever so thankful to CST for placing this precious animal
with Brandon. He gave us much joy. And now at his loss, much pain. But our pastor once said, "where there is
much pain there was much love...and that is a good thing."
